We strictly limit the numbers on our books, because it’s our desire to see each and every one of our talent succeed. The best way to do this is to work with you one-on-one, and we won’t ever conduct an interview over the phone or email. We’re proud to say that the majority of our talent will receive work within their first twelve-month contract. We want all of our talent to have their chance to shine and if that means working twice as hard to make that happen, then that’s what we’ll do.

You’ll need to seriously think about whether being a Starfish talent is right for you, your child or your family though as it’s a big commitment. All of our team members are mums themselves and all have had children work in the industry, so we understands the demands and what’s required to succeed in the industry. 

Step One

Complete our online application form and arrange an interview. The interview usually takes around 30 minutes and gives you the opportunity to learn more about Starfish and what’s involved, while also giving us the chance to assess whether you’re a good fit for our agency.

Step Two

If your interview is successful, the next step is to arrange your headshot photography.

Sydney talent: We have our own in-house studio in Warriewood, where we’ll arrange your photoshoot. The shoot usually takes around 30 minutes. You’ll need to bring a couple of different outfit options with you.

Melbourne talent: You’ll supply your own photography. We can recommend preferred Melbourne photographers who are familiar with the type of headshots we require.

Once we have your photos, we’ll have everything we need to create your Starfish profile.

Step Three

We’ll set up your website profile and sign you up to our casting platforms that we use to communicate with clients and submit talent for suitable briefs.

You’ll receive your own logins for the casting platforms and our website, allowing you to update details such as height, sizes, skills and credits.

For Sydney talent, we’ll also send you copies of the photos taken at your photoshoot. Melbourne talent will receive their edited images directly from their photographer.

The onboarding process usually takes around 2 weeks, and we’ll send you confirmation once it’s complete.

Step Four

It’s official! You’re now a Starfish talent and can be submitted for suitable work.

REPRESENTATION Options - sydney

Photographic/Management fee is $550 inclusive of the following:
  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. Headshot photography
  3. Headshots supplied via downloadable link
  4. Hosting of profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting.com platforms.
  5. Renewal Photographic/Management fee after 12 months is $450 per year.
Photographic/Management fee for families with 5 members & under is  $300 inclusive of the following:
  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. Headshot photography.
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link.
  4. Hosting of individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting.com platforms.
  5. Renewal Photographic/Management fee after 12 months is $200 per year.

Photographic/Managementfee for families with 3 members & under is $200 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. Headshot Photography
  3. Headshots supplied via downloadable link.
  4. Hosting of individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting.com platforms.
  5. Renewal photographic/management fee after 12 months is $200 per year.

Photographic/Management fee for families with 5 members & under is  $300 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. Headshot Photography
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link.
  4. Hosting of individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting.com platforms.
  5. Renewal photographic/management fee after 12 months is $300 per year.
  6. Additional family members are charged at $50 per person

Management fee is $260 inclusive of the following:

  3. Brief submissions and ongoing audition support and guidance.
  4. Renewal Management fee after 12 months is $160 per year.

Management fee for families is $130 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. Hosting of individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids & Casting Networks.
  3. Family brief submissions and ongoing audition support and guidance.
  4. Renewal photographic/management fee after 12 months is $130 per year.
